WR logistics are currently recruiting for a Warehouse Operative in Berkhamsted, Hertfordshire. This is an exciting opportunity to join a busy manufacturer on a permanent basis! The ideal candidate would be someone that knows how to take control of the running of a warehouse and make the role their own. It will be a varied warehouse role and you will need to have previous warehouse experience. Hours and Pay - Warehouse Operative / Stores Person Contract Type: Permanent Shift pattern: Monday - Friday Hours: 0830 - 1700 Location: Berkhamsted Pay: £10.60 per hour (37.5 hour paid hours after breaks deducted) + annual bonus if it has been a successful year! Duties Picking and packing of goods for daily dispatch, from small boxes to large packing crates and palatized items. Receiving of goods, checking quantities Putting stock away Replenishing parts bins Maintaining stock levels and reporting shortages to the production manager ensuring that lead times will are met from overseas suppliers. WR logistics are currently recruiting for a HR Administrator in Basildon, Essex. This is permanent role within a large Logistics company. This role will be working in a busy HR department as a HR Administrator. This is a challenging role providing the opportunity for career progression for the right candidate. Hours and Pay Monday - Friday 0830 - 1730 £23,000 - £24,000 - Depending on experience. 20 Days holiday (loyalty day holiday increments after completing one year's service to a max of 5 days. Job Role Maintain HR databases and absence management platforms. Handle HR queries Onboard all new starters (Offer letters, contracts of employment, job descriptions, DBS, right to work checks, references, induction) Analyse criminal records checks (DBS) for new employee screening. Update employee policies & procedures Update and maintaining job descriptions. Assisting & guiding managers with HR related matters, maintain employee relations. Produce management reports from HR databases and absence management system. Assist with special HR projects. Preparing and amending HR documents where necessary, for e.g. recruitment guides Communicating with external partners where required with guidance of Head of HR Carry out all the administrative processes in the recruitment process, for e.g.; prepare recruitment documents, draft and place adverts, log application forms, administer recruitment campaigns, sit on interview panels and/or administer tests. Ensure that the HR service undertakes all necessary employment checks including DBS checks and right to work, qualification and medical checks and references Support conducting induction meetings with new employees and workers Ensure resignations are acknowledged in a timely manner, the Line manager is aware of the process and any outstanding annual leave is calculated in accordance with the employee's terms and conditions. Ensure exit interviews are conducted for staff either face to face or electronically Administer and promote employee staff benefits schemes when required Reporting regularly on HR metrics as required Being the first point of contact for employees on any HR related queries Assisting with payroll by providing the department with relevant employee information, i.e. new starters, leavers, holiday and sick days taken Helping with various arrangements internally, from travel to processing expenses To undertake other activities identified from time to time commensurate with the level of the post. Skills and Qualifications Experience as a HR administrator or HR administrator's assistant Demonstrate understanding of HR processes Preferable CIPD L3 Qualified (or studying towards CIPD L3) The ability to work to tight deadlines. Job Title: Logistics Controller Reporting to: Logistics & Customs Manager Location: Salford, Manchester (M38) Hours: 8.30am - 5pm Monday - Thursday, 8.30am - 4pm Friday Salary: 26,000 - £31,000 Logistics & Freight Controller Position: This is a great opportunity to join the logistics and customs team of a recognised textile manufacturing business. Working as part of our team you will be involved in the businesses' International logistics & customs activities. The business imports 1000 TEU per annum and manage specialist customs procedures including CFSP, Customs Warehousing and Inward Processing. There is plenty to become involved with, we have an experienced and supportive team, often running training and knowledge share sessions to keep ourselves up to date. Key Role & Responsibilities: Working closely with stakeholders to make initial bookings on a priority basis, and dealing with logistics issues as they arise. Complete checks on documentation for imports & exports (supplier invoices, packing lists & all relevant accompanying documentation). Administer and process documentation in line with business processes to support the movement of goods. Maintain and update internal data sources to support the movement of goods and reporting. Manage the businesses haulage requirements in consideration of the warehouse intake schedules. Work closely with the warehouse teams to ensure the timely and successful delivery of imported goods. Maintain an understanding of the commercial and operational outcomes of decision making in relation to the planning of deliveries. Maintain an understanding of trade and customs requirements for imports for each country the business trades with. Take ownership for the movement of goods and provide feedback and recommendations to management where appropriate. Take ownership for self-development and opportunities to network. Key Skills & Experience Experience in international logistics & customs preferred. Experience working with freight forwarders or shipping lines preferred. A background & interest in ocean freight services. Good communicator who enjoys a laugh in the office as well as getting work done. Ability to make decisions based on commercial and operational information. An interest in customs procedures, compliance, and international trade. Appreciation of data and working knowledge of MS Excel. Understanding of logistics/customs terminology preferred. Ability to work cross departmentally.
