An opportunity has arisen for one of the leading brands in the air movement sector. They are looking for a Specification Sales Engineer to cover an patch that has consistently been one of their best performing areas. Due to how well the area has been managed and how many long-standing customers there are in the region, a large proportion of your time will be spent managing accounts.
There is always more business to be had so you would be expected to spend around 20% of your time chasing new customers. However, the brand does really sell itself and the products are seen as some of the best on the market. You will be well rewarded by what is truly one of the most competitive commission / bonus schemes on the market. The patch is the Yorkshire region, with Leeds being the main city as well as Bradford, Hull and Sheffield. Living near Leeds or Sheffield would be ideal.
You will be spending the majority of your time with Consultants working on projects in the commercial sector. You will be backed by internal support, however, you will be expected to be highly technical and accustomed to a solution based sell. Experience selling commercial ventilation, fans, MVHR, Air Handling Units (AHUs) or air conditioning would be perfect. However, experience selling commercial heating, heat pumps or renewables could also be well suited. You could also come from a consulting background as long as it has been within the HVAC sector.
* £35,000 - £50,000 base salary
