Business Development Manager required for an independent Transport company that are partnered with a successful Heavy Haulage Company.
The Business Development Manager - will be managing sales accounts and will have a background in Transport.

The company is moving heavy construction goods - Diggers and other construction vehicles that is of an abnormal load
Sales Account Manager/ Business Development Manager (BDM)
Hours of work 8am - 5pm Monday - Friday
and every 7th Saturday 8am - 3pm
Team size - 3
Number of vehicles - 30
Salary range £25K-£35K
20 days holiday plus 8 days bank holiday
Achieve new business sales targets by developing relationships with new (and lapsed) customers
Pro-actively own the sales process from lead generation to closing the sale:
Arrange own meetings with potential customers to prospect for new business
Negotiate the terms of a sale (price, costs, delivery and speciﬁcations) with buyers and close the sale
Effectively interact with the Telemarketing and Op team to fully and effectively brief them on new customers
Gather and maintain detailed market and target customer information including a clear understanding of
customers' business and requirements
Maintain a detailed knowledge of the Company's products, services and pricing structures
Maintain an up-to-date knowledge of current legislation and compliance with products and services sold
Maintain sales pipeline ensuring all sales administration/reporting is current using CRM software
Maintain a monthly personal sales activity plan including the quantity, direction and quality of all sales activity.
