Food Buyer / Procurement position in Slough
Buyer required for leading Food Distributor in Slough
Successful candidate should have experience working in a Wholesale / Food Distribution industry.
Experience with spends in excess of £50M required.
The Package:
£35,000 – £50,000 (DOE)
Hybrid position
Car Allowance £6500
25 days holiday + bank holidays
Health care Plan
Pension – company contribution
The Role:
You will be managing supplier relationships and maximising the long term profitability of specified categories whilst achieving your short & long term budgeted targets.
You will be a ‘hands-on’ self-starter and must have excellent proven influencing and negotiating skills in managing product costs.
Buyer must have experience dealing with Big Brands buying high volume stock.
You will also be required to demonstrate an aptitude for financial acumen in managing your budgets.
As Buyer, you will be responsible for spends in excess of £50M.
Requirements :
Procurement / Buyer experience
Experience buying high volume from large brands
Strong negotiation skills
Food industry background highly desired
Ability to travel abroad when required (bi-annually)
A full driving licence
