My client is a specialist provider of M&E solutions that has been providing a full set of services, from initial consultation to design and build for over 30 years in and around London. They have a dynamic and rapidly growing team and now due to an ever growing set of projects, have the requirement to add a Commercial Manager to their senior team.
The Commercial Manager will ideally come to us from within the M&E industry or a similar relevant field such as Facilities Management. The Commercial Manager will be tasked with ensuring the profitability of incoming and ongoing projects, and would be expected to be "client facing at the highest possible level". My client has an exceptionally high level of repeat business, so the Commercial Manager would be building on and developing a series of highly profitable, loyal and personable relationships.
From negotiating and liaising with their list of suppliers and preferred contractors to running weekly wrap ups with Project Managers and managing one direct report, this role comes with a high level of responsibility, so our Commercial Manager would come to us already extremely commercially aware. Experience having P&L responsibilities would be a must.
The ideal Commercial Manager would come to us from a similar Commercial Manager position, or from a background in Senior Quantity Surveyor position, Sales or even an experienced Estimator of large M&E projects.
