Customs Clerk
WR Logistics are currently recruiting for Customs Clerk in Portsmouth.
Are you an experienced Customs Clerk within Freight Forwarding.
Hours and Pay – Customs Clerk
- Monday – Friday
- 0900 – 1700
- £24,000 – £28,000
Responsibilities
- Manage your own time to best efficiency for the business.
- Monitor the systems and process throughout the department & inform Customs Supervisor of any ideas for change.
- Ensure all entries, imports and exports, are done within a timely manner – 24 hours of receipt of documents for imports and before the container has loaded for exports.
- Ensure procedures are followed at all times.
- Make sure company standards are followed, and the customer experience is a positive one.
Requirements
- Be a self-starter with high levels of motivation to do a great job.
- Have a good understanding of import customs.
- Have experience of Destin8, CDS or similar.
- Have made the import customs clearance yourself generating the C88
- Have some experience using different CSPs, eg MCP, Pentant, CCS
- Have an understanding of import VAT and duty, quotas
- Be used to customs Invoicing and query resolution.
