Location: Basingstoke

Salary: £28,000 – £31,000

Holiday: 25 days + Bank Holidays

Hours: Mon Thu 08:00- 17:00 / Fri 08:00 – 16:30

Due to continued growth plans, we are now seeking to appoint a new customs clearance professional to our growing, friendly customs team from our head offices in Basingstoke.

We are looking for a freight operator or customs coordinator who is analytically minded with meticulous attention to detail. The successful Customs Coordinator will have a keen eye for detail and be proficient in Import and Export customs entries/clearances

Customs Coordinator – Requirements

Proficiency in UK / EU Customs regulations

Excellent working knowledge of import and export customs procedures

Strong communication skills.

Proficient using both customs software (ASM, DESTIN8) and MS applications.

Customs Coordinator – Role & responsibilities

Ensure the timely and accurate completion of all Import & Export customs, procedures, Tariff Classifications, Duty Rates, and any other documentation requirements

Processing Import/Export customs declarations

Keeping up to date with changes in regulations, laws and customs procedures

An extensive knowledge of Customs Commodity Codes would a great advantage

Ensure all Customer needs are met or exceeded, within our Compliance Controls

All other duties related to the process of clearing freight/shipments through customs

Management of the full shipping & freight forwarding process would be an advantage
