Design Engineer / Product Development Engineer required for a electrical manufacturer just outside of Reading.

Package
£25K-£40K depending on experience
25 days holiday + bank holidays
Pension scheme (5% employer contribution)
Death in service
Mon - Fri 8.30am - 5pm


The Role
Design/development of existing and new enclosed products incorporating various switchgear & switches in different enclosure types
Expanding the existing enclosed product portfolio
Rationalising/redesigning the existing portfolio to make it more flexible and responsive to customer requirements
Investigating alternate enclosure suppliers
Reviewing and updating processes including design and documentation and working with assembly to develop the assembly processes
Have the ability to development knowledge of company products and electrical qualification/experience of different applications to provide support to customers with special switching requirements

Requirements
Proven experience as a Design Engineer, Product Development Engineer, Product Manager or similar
Electrical/electronic engineering qualification (HNC / HND / degree)
Knowledge of LV electrical switchgear through design/specification/use OR an electrical panel building background, you may have been involved in designing, assembling and wiring complicated electrical control panels.
