Freight Operations Coordinator - £30K - St Albans

An award winning, independent freight forwarding brand seek a Freight Coordinator for their St Albans operation.

The successful Freight Coordinator will have worked for a Freight Forwarder and will have working experience within Sea/ Air/ Road Freight.

You will be joining a vibrant team and managing the day to day Import or Export bookings of worldwide Sea Freight shipments.

The Package

£25K - £30K - depending on experience
Monday to Friday 9am - 5:30pm
28 days holiday
Company pension
Bonus twice per year up to one month's salary each time

The Freight Coordinator Role:

Manage the day to day Import & Export bookings of worldwide freight shipments
Customs entries are a bonus
Invoice jobs on completion
Extensive supplier liaison and negotiation
Internal liaison with the sales team assisting with quotations and service status information
Raising job files and all of the appropriate paperwork
Process the jobs utilising the in-house software system

The Operations Coordinator Requirements:

MUST have freight forwarding experience.
Previous working experience within a Freight Forwarder
Experience of calculating freight quotations and rate negotiations is a bonus
An excellent communicator both written and verbally
