Maintenance Technician / Maintenance Engineer required to join a leading British manufacturer to fix and maintain packaging and filling machines and conveyors. My client is looking for a dynamic and enthusiastic Maintenance Engineer to join their team in Alton due to succession planning.

The successful Maintenance Engineer will be multi-skilled with experience working in a fast-paced manufacturing environment.

Role

Fault-finding on packaging, mixing and blending machinery
Responding to equipment faults
Diagnosing breakdown problems
Carrying out routine planned preventative maintenance
Carrying out quality inspections
Ensuring compliance with health and safety legislation
Assist with maintenance strategies
Installation and commissioning of plant and equipment

Requirements

Apprentice trained or hold a HNC / BTEC / ONC / HND or equivalent qualification in electrical / mechanical / electro-mechanical engineering
Must have experience of both mechanical and electrical maintenance - multiskilled essential
Experience working in an FMCG environment
Experience with VFFS bagging machines, multi-head weighers / conveyors, PLC Inverter drives, control panel equipment - PILZ relays, overload breakers and contractors
17th / 18th edition installation qualification desirable

Salary - £35,000-£40,000 (DOE)
Working Hours - 07:30 - 16:30 (Monday-Friday)
