Mechanical Design Engineer – Automation / Robotics
We are seeking a highly motivated Mechanical Design Engineer to join an Industrial Automation specialist solutions provider to a range of industries
This is a rare opportunity to work alongside the existing team of engineers on bespoke and innovative industrial automation equipment
Experience with the following Robotic systems is highly desirable:
- Kawasaski
- Omron
- Staubli
The role:
* Sales support ensuring accuracy and feasibility of solutions and quotes
* Liase between sales, electrical and production teams
* Produce high quality 2D and 3D models using DraftSight and SolidWorks
* Produce detailed manufacturing drawings
* Work closely with the electrical design team throughout design process
* Produce BOM’s, cut lists and profiles
* Produce installation drawings & technical file documentation including machine manuals
* Ensure production efficiency
* Monitor design and production progress identifying errors, delays, and improvements
You:
* Leadership experience within an Engineering environment
* Proficient with DraftSight and SolidWorks
* Proficient with Microsoft office applications
* Strong Knowledge in Material Selection
* Experience designing automated equipment
The Benefits:
* Salary: £40,000-£45,000
* 25 days paid leave plus statutory holidays
