Are you a Mechanical Estimator or Mechanical Engineer looking to come off the tools? My client is looking for a Mechanical Estimator who can contribute to our pre-construction process by accurately assessing and estimating costs for mechanical projects. The successful candidate will play a crucial role in collaborating with project stakeholders, producing detailed estimates, and ensuring competitiveness in the bidding process. If you have a strong background in mechanical estimating, excellent analytical skills, and a passion for contributing to successful project outcomes, we want to hear from you
Package:
- Salary £40,000 – £50,000, negotiable for the right person
- Hybrid working
- 8% pension
- 33 days holiday
Responsibilities
- Review project specifications, drawings, and other documentation to prepare accurate and comprehensive mechanical project estimates
- Collaborate with project managers, engineers, and other team members to gather relevant information for estimating purposes
- Utilize industry-standard estimating software and tools to develop detailed project cost breakdowns
- Research and obtain quotes from suppliers and subcontractors to ensure competitive pricing
- Stay current with industry trends, material costs, and labor rates to ensure accurate and up-to-date estimates
- Prepare and present detailed estimates to management and clients, participating in bid reviews and negotiations as needed
- Foster and maintain relationships with suppliers and subcontractors
