Location: Feltham, London

Salary: £30,000 to £40,000 (DOE)

My client is looking for an experienced Multi-Modal Freight Forwarder to join their Operations team based in Feltham. The ideal candidate will have 5+ years of experience in Air, Road, Sea and/or Rail Freight Forwarding for both Import and Export Operations. The right candidate will also have a good understanding of Customs Clearances and Compliance with HMRC regulation.

Working Hours: Monday to Friday – 9:00am-5:30pm – some flexible working may be required.

Key Responsibilities:

• Have full understanding of the procedures of handling Air, Sea, Road and Rail shipments under HMRC and UKBF Customs procedures.
• Dealing with customers, suppliers, partners and other stakeholders to ensure smooth and fast delivery of service.
• Use in-house system to schedule to manage Import and Export new jobs and shipments in conjunction with ASM/CNS/CDS/Destin8.
• Prepare and dispatch all relevant paperwork including CMR’s, customs declarations, airline shed release notes, handover notes, collection notes, PMC ULD notes and transit documents.
• Invoice on time and accurately.
• Maintain and develop relationships with customers to up-sell and cross-sell across all modes and methods.

Requirements:

• 5+ years of experience with Air, Road, Sea and/or Rail Freight Forwarding.
• Import and/or export operations and customs experience.
• Experience with customs compliance with HMRC Regulation.
• Proficiency using ASM/CNS/CDS/Destin8 logistics software desirable.
• Experience working for a UK based freight forwarding company.
• Ability to work flexible hours.
• Excellent customer service.
• Good verbal and written communication.
