Production Planner
Production Planner – Global Manufacturer – £30,000-£40,000 – Central Gloucester
Production Planner required to join a well established and growing manufacturer supplying into the aerospace, defence and automotive industries, based in central Gloucester.
You will be responsible for defining the Master Production Schedule (MPS), the day-to-day scheduling of manufacturing operations and a key stakeholder in the co-ordination of resources and materials required to maintain production objectives.
As a growing business with a new ERP system, you will be continually working to improve our systems, processes, and approach to deliver the right quality product, delivered in the right quantity, to the right place, at the right time, for the right price.
This role would suit someone who has held one of the following job titles; Production Coordinator, Production Scheduler, Master Scheduler, Production Planning Coordinator or similar.
The Package:
Salary – £30,000-£40,000
34 days of annual leave, including Bank Holidays

The Role:
- Develop and implement an achievable production schedule linked to MRP/ERP. Compile manufacturing order packs and release to the production areas
- Monitor execution of the production schedules
- Define, monitor and challenge both capacity and load requirements
- Implement material management policies in order to meet our customer requirement (Takt time)
- To ensure the necessary controls are maintained throughout the organisation to guarantee the integrity of the MRP/ERP system and our planning procedures
- Support the Operations Meeting by providing updates
- Work cross functionally to communicate the requirements of the plan
- Work closely with the sales, production and purchasing teams to understand forward planning of materials
- Sub-contract process planning and management
- Master production scheduling
Requirements:
- Extensive knowledge of working with MRP/ERP systems in a manufacturing environment
- Master Production Scheduling experience
- Ability to apply logic and reasoning to identify solutions to planning execution
- Intermediate Microsoft Office skills
