Due to elevated growth a Sea Freight Import & Invoicing Clerk is now required.
We are currently recruiting for a Freight Forwarding Invoicing Clerk Role working within a busy Sea Freight Imports department based in Trafford Park, Manchester. The role has responsibility for the day to day costing and billing activities for specific Sea Freight Accounts. The role involves both internal and client specific agreed service standards, along with the highest level Finance compliance on a consistent basis
Reporting to the Department Manager, the Central Administration Team holds responsibility for the day-to-day costing and billing activities for specific accounts. The role involves compliance to both Internal & client specific SOP's designed to ensure that agreed service standards and financial compliance are maintained to the highest level on a consistent basis.
Working with the team and the Department Manager to ensure accurate & on-time costs processing, and on time payments to Cash Suppliers
Query Resolution - to resolve any queries from both customers & suppliers in a timely & efficient manner
Query Resolution - to resolve any queries from internal departments (including Transport, AP, AR, HR) in a timely & efficient manner
Monitoring operational performance of Origin Stations on an ongoing basis & taking corrective actions to improve performance where possible
Use of Internal Freight Management Systems would be a distinct advantage and the candidate must be competent with Microsoft Packages (Word/Excel/Outlook) & be have a professional telephone manner
Maintain UK Sea Import compliance with issuing of FCL Global Profit Share
Daily monitoring & actioning of queries received into UK Seafreight Profit Share Mailbox
