Position: Senior Sales Manager/BDM - Freight Forwarding
Locations: Fareham - Hampshire
Salary: £60,000pa + Bonuses + Commission

Our client are a young and dynamic freight forwarding company offering worldwide multi-modal shipping services by air, sea, and road.
Since their inception in 2019 they have grown rapidly and are now looking to appoint an experienced Senior Sales Manager to enhance and assist the business to expand further.
Based in Segensworth, Fareham, the UK office is part of a large multinational freight forwarding organisation, with multiple worldwide offices including Turkey, Australia, Vietnam, to name a few.
About the Role:
We are looking for a committed, innovative and energetic individual to play a key role in the business. You will be tasked with heading up the sales division, initially to include the building and development of a new team, which the successful candidate will be instrumental in selecting.
Confident and dynamic, the ideal candidate will have experience in a similar role and be used to developing the skills required to manage a busy team. A passion to 'go the extra mile' and a tenacity to ensure that every opportunity is sought is imperative. An outgoing and personable manner as well as a focus on exceeding our customers' expectations will be vital in driving the business forward. You will be expected to secure new business accounts, increasing our business portfolio and profitability, along with increasing our reputation within the industry on both local and global basis.

Duties and responsibilities:
Overall control of the sales department
Growing, mentoring, and developing the sales team
Produce strategic sales plans, & pipelines
Full control of account management, P&L and sales development
Requirements for the role:
Excellent book of business and contacts to bring to the organisation
Proven ability to succeed in sales and business development
Fantastic communication skills at all levels
Good IT Skills
Proactive approach to problem solving
High levels of accuracy
Experience in staff election and interviewing would be advantageous
Tenacity and bundles of enthusiasm
