Senior Transport Planner

Senior Transport Planner required in Southampton

Joining a market leader in container haulage, you will oversee and route company owned vehicles UK wide.

Previous experience in container haulage is essential.

Manager CPC beneficial, although the company can finance this in the future.

Package:

£35,000 – £45,000

Company Car

Monday – Friday

1 in 3 Saturday AM’s

Role:

As Senior Transport Planner, you will be routing vehicles carrying containers UK wide

It is essential that strong relationships are maintained with ports and that bookings are made promptly

Drivers must be fully briefed and debriefed with correct paperwork

Senior Transport Planner will be using systems to book vehicles into ports and route vehicles

As the Senior Transport Planner you will oversee other planners and cover the depot manage in their absence

Requirements:

Container haulage / route planning experience

Clear understanding of WTD & Drivers Hours

Excellent communications & IT skills

Good team player
