Bulk haulage & construction transport company is looking for a Transport Planner to join their growing team.
As Transport Planner, you will be working with a small team of Planners ensuring construction equipment is being moved efficiently and most cost effectively.
The Role:
- Transport planner will be routing Tippers and Artics
- You must Plan routes as cost effectively as possible
- It is the Transport Planners responsibility to plan routes in line with WTD and Drivers Hours
- Transport Planner will ensure all customers are kept up to date
- All necessary admin must be completed
- You will be working with the Operations Manager to ensure that all vehicles are in compliance with company standards
- Perform and correctly implement General Administration, e.g. costing, agreeing charge rates with contractors, queries in accordance with the companies’ requirements
The Requirements:
Heavy haulage experience
Extensive Transport route planning skills
Excellent geographical knowledge
Strong communication skills
