Transport Planner

Transport Planner required in Southampton
A growing Logistics and Warehousing company looking for a Transport Planner to join their team.
You will be working in a small team routing Circa 50 Company owned vehicles UK wide
Package:
£45,000 – £50,000
Monday to Friday
7am-5pm/8am-6pm
The role:
Transport Planner you will manage a fleet of our own and sub-contractor vehicles to a maximum financial and commercial benefit to the business
You must ensure compliance with Legislation
It is your responsibility to ensure all routes are planned cost efficiently
Robust organisation and methodical approach to planning FCL (Full Container Loads) to maximise profitability, utilisation, and efficiency.
The Requirements:
Experience as a Transport Planner
Geographical knowledge of UK
A background in the shipping industry is desirable
Organised and methodical with approach
A background in Container Transport is a must
Logistics Distribution and Supply Chain
