Business Development Manager required for an award winning global logistcs brand with multple UK sites.
Business Development Manager MUST have sold Sea Freight or Air Freight for a Freight Forwarder.
Salary £35K - £59K, Car allowance, Bonus paid on GP, ability to earn up to 33 days Holiday,
This role is team sales focused with connecton to the midlands depot on Mondays and Fridays.
The aim is to build an established major customer base with a top level of service - selling through service and
Achieve new business sales targets by developing relatonships with new (and lapsed) customers
Generate own leads and opportunites and follow up on any leads and referrals resultng from Company
Proactvely own the sales process from lead generaton to closing the sale:
Arrange own meetngs with potental customers to prospect for new business
Negotate the terms of a sale (price, costs, delivery and speciﬁcatons) with buyers and close the sale
Eﬀectvely interact with the Telesales and Operatons team to fully and eﬀectvely brief them on new sales/new
Gather and maintain detailed market and target customer informaton including a clear understanding of
customers' business and requirements
Maintain a detailed knowledge of the Company's products, services and pricing structures
Maintain an up-to-date knowledge of current legislaton and compliance with products and services sold
Maintain sales pipeline ensuring all sales administraton/reportng is current using CRM soﬅware
Maintain a monthly personal sales actvity plan including the quantty, directon and quality of all sales actvity.
B2B ﬁeld sales experience ESSENTIAL with proven track record
Air Freight or Sea Freight sales experience PREFERRED
European Road Freight sales experience considered
