My client are a well established global logistics and freight service provider, with multiple sites across the UK
With expansion plans well underway we are in the process of building and developing a new sales tea, of experinced business development managers to sell air and sea freight services to excisting customer accounts and to bring on new customers to the busniess.
Achieve new business sales targets by developing relationships with new (and lapsed) customers
Generate own leads and opportunities and follow up on any leads and referrals resulting from
Proactively own the sales process from lead generation to closing the sale:
Arrange own meetings with potential customers to prospect for new business
Negotiate the terms of a sale (price, costs, delivery and speciﬁcations) with buyers and close the sale
Effectively interact with the Operations team to fully and brief them on new sales/new customers
Gather and maintain detailed market and target customer information including a clear understanding of customers' business and requirements
Maintain a detailed knowledge of the Company's products, services and pricing structures
This role offers a completely flexible working arrangement. The aim is completely to
develop business and make money so whatever suits. Regular office time so Midlands location is important,
Business Development Manager MUST have sold Air & Sea Freight for a Freight Forwarder.
Air Freight & Sea Freight sales experience essential
Ability to bring business, clients, contacts will be a distinct advantage.
