Are you experienced in international Road Freight Forwarder, Supervisor or Manager looking for a new challenge?
We have an exciting opportunity available for an enthusiastic EU Road Freight Manager to join our Road Freight department based in Bradford. You will join us on a full time, permanent basis and in return, we can offer a competitive salary and benefits package.
Arranging and planning international road freight movements (FTL, LTL, Groupage) - utilising agreements already in place with existing suppliers
Managing a small team of operators
Quoting international road freight movements
Being responsible for each shipment, from booking to invoice
Responsible for P&L & adhering to agreed yearly budgets
Preparing customs clearances for input by our in-house customs team
Liaising with multiple departments across our sites
Liaising directly with clients at all levels to grow an understanding of their business needs
Dealing with new and ongoing queries and providing up to date information to the client
Building rapport with suppliers, colleagues, and clients
Working in conjunction with the accounts department and querying any invoices with our suppliers
Actively looking for innovative transport solutions and expanding our existing supplier base to maximise revenue
What we are looking for:
Import & Export experience for EU Road Freight
Good geographical knowledge
A confident communicator - internally and externally
The ability to work alone and as part of a team
Strong attention to detail is essential
A proactive approach to assigned tasks
The ability to adapt and excel within a high pressured, fast-moving environment
Basic knowledge of customs procedures
