Internal Sales Executive (Freight Forwarding) – Gravesend, Kent – Up to £35,000 + commission
As Internal Sales Executive, your primary responsibility is to generate new business and maintain relationships with existing clients. Your job involves working closely with the sales team and other departments to coordinate the movement of goods and ensure smooth logistics operations.
Job type: Permanent
Hours: 0900AM to 1700PM
Salary: £35,000
Key tasks may include:
- Prospecting and lead generation: Identifying potential customers and initiating contact to explore business opportunities.
- Customer relationship management: Building and maintaining strong relationships with clients, understanding their needs, and providing appropriate solutions.
- Sales coordination: Collaborating with the sales team to develop effective strategies, preparing sales proposals, and negotiating contracts.
- Order processing and documentation: Ensuring accurate and timely processing of customer orders, managing relevant documentation, and coordinating with operations and logistics teams.
- Quotation and pricing: Preparing competitive pricing proposals, analyzing costs, and determining profitable pricing strategies.
- Market research: Staying updated with industry trends, market conditions, and competitors to identify new business opportunities and improve service offerings.
- Customer service: Addressing customer inquiries, resolving complaints, and providing timely and accurate information about shipments, delivery schedules, and related matters.
- Reporting and analysis: Generating sales reports, analyzing sales data, and presenting performance metrics to management for evaluation and decision-making.
Requirements:
- Experience UK Freight forwarding
- Experience in Business Development/Sales within forwarding
- Strong communication, negotiation, and organizational skills
